Entering the Lucid Dream trough Bedroom Wallpaper
Ever since I was a small kid i had vivid and amazing dreams. I remember we had a big wallpaper in my parents bedroom, where I was sleeping up until the age of six or seven years. It was a picture of a natural landscape, full of big rocks and trees on the hills in the background. It was on the wall right opposite of my bed. Every night before sleep I was watching the picture and I was imagining that I am in that landscape.
Sometimes i fell asleep full of imagination and I continued to dream that I am exploring the strange world in our bedroom wall. Sometimes I dreamed that I am getting up from bed and walking right into the picture. I was suddenly in a three-dimensional world that was completely alive and real. In time i developed a habit of visiting this imaginary place where I found peace and comfort in kind of strange but pleasant emotions of this dream-state.
Without knowing of any of the concepts and techniques of how to have a lucid dream, it was completely natural phenomenon for me to practice my night travels in which I was aware that I am dreaming.
My other early Lucid Dream Experiences
Often times other things were happening in my dreams, but it was always kind of strange and intense. I strongly remember the three bright dots in a triangular pattern that were sometimes flashing in my minds eye before falling asleep. When I saw these dots I often dreamed of aliens and space-ships. Once they landed a big space-ship on our lawn in front of our house. I remember entering the vessel and flying above the landscape. This is one of the dream images that sticks to to the very day.
All these dreams were most of the times very pleasant, so I was excited every evening to travel to these fantasy dimensions and to experience something new every night. My connection between normal day awareness and my dream awareness was so strong that in my imagination I could travel to well-known dream dimensions just by closing my eyes. I could well remember a whole specter of dreams and they seemed so real as my every-day reality.
I would say that at that young age it was easy for me to develop the ability to lucid dream because I was undefined by the rigid concepts of material reality and laws. My mind was still not indoctrinated by the norms of what is real and what is fantasy, so fantasy became my playground. And this childish free-flowing imagination was the thing that allowed me to travel to dimensions out of this world and experience the vast landscapes of mind and soul. I recognized that when we grow-up we lose exactly this freedom of the mind and imagination and we become the slaves of the indoctrinated 'reality'.
One thing we can do to grow the wings back and allow our spirit to fly again is to practice lucid dreaming. By doing this we strengthen our imagination and the reality can become much less serious and burdening.
